Why You Shouldn't Have Your Friend Take Your Family Photos
We all have that really great friend that has a nice camera and though it may sound “easier” and “less of a hassle” to have them take a few family photos of you… here are a few reasons why you should be leaving it to the professionals…
- Posing. Posing is SO important, it is THE most important thing when it comes to a great family photo. Professionals know what poses are the most flattering for any given person, and they are ALWAYS striving to make you look and feel your best when you are in front of their camera. Just the WRONG angle will ruin the photo.
- Quality. Good quality should not be over looked! A low quality photo may look okay to post on Facebook, but you need high quality photos if you are going to print them out and show case them on your walls or even put on your Christmas cards! Isn’t that the point of getting family photos, to show off your gorgeous family?
- Time. Professional photographers pose people and take pictures of them for their living! Though with a friend it may sound like it would be “quicker”, in most cases its not. Photographers know that people aren’t there to spend an entire day with them so they aren’t going to waste your time. Some of my favorite sessions * photos inserted below * have been done start to finish in 20mins! (no joke!)
I’ll leave you with this, it is worth it, the quality of photos you will end up with will put it on in to prospective for you! I know it sounds like a lot of time, money and energy for a few photos, but in the grand scheme of things, photos with the people you love the most are PRICESLESS.
